Romans 7:22

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

  1. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
  2. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
  3. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
  4. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
  5. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
  6. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
  7. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
  8. But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
  9. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
  10. Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.
  11. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
  12. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
  13. Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
  14. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
  15. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
  16. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
  17. Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

  20. Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

  22. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
  23. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
  24. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
  25. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
