Psalms 3:3

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

  9. But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
  10. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
  11. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
  12. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
  13. In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
  14. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
  15. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
  16. Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
  17. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
