For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

  8. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
  9. Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
  10. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
  11. And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
  12. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
  13. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
  14. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
