Romans 8:8

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

  7. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
  8. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
  9. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
  10. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
  11. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
  12. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
  13. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
  14. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  15. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
