Romans 7:11

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

  8. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
  9. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
  10. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
  11. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
