Romans 15:3

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

  9. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
  10. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
  11. Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
  12. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
  13. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
  14. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
  15. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
  16. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
  17. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
