Romans 12:9

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

  10. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
  11. The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
  12. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
  13. Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
  14. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
  15. When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
  16. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

  18. This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
  19. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
  20. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
  21. For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
  22. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
  23. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
  24. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
  25. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
  26. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
  27. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
  28. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
  29. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
