Romans 11:20

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

  14. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
  15. In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
  16. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
  19. And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
  20. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
  21. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
  22. Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
  23. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
  24. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
  25. Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
  26. Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
  27. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
  28. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
  29. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
  30. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
  31. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
  32. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
  33. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
  34. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
  35. By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
  36. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
  37. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
