Romans 10:19

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

  6. They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
  7. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
  8. Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
  9. And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
  10. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
  11. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
  12. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
  13. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
  14. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
  15. What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
  16. What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
  17. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
  18. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
  19. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
