Romans 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

  1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
  7. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
  8. And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
  9. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
  10. If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness; And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand: This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
  11. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
  12. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
  13. Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
  14. The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
  15. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
  16. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
  17. Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
  18. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
  19. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
  20. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
  21. Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
  22. Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
  23. Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
  24. But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
  25. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
  26. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
  27. Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
  28. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
  29. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
  30. And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.
