Revelation 2:3

And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

  9. In your patience possess ye your souls.
  10. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
  11. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
  12. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
  13. Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
  14. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
  15. Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
  16. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
  17. That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
  18. Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
  19. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
  20. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
  21. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
  22. Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
  23. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
  24. Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
  25. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
  26. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
  27. Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
  28. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
  29. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
  30. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
  31. Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
  32. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
  33. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
  34. Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
  35. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
  36. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
  37. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
  38. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
  39. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
  40. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
  41. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
  42. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
  43. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
  44. And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
  45. I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  46. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
