Psalms 9:2

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

  1. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
  2. That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
  3. I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
  4. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
  5. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
  6. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
  7. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
  8. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
  9. For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
  10. For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
  11. Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
  12. O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
  13. Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
  14. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
