Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

  2. After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

  7. O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.
  8. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
  9. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
  10. Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
  11. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
  12. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
  13. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
  14. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
