Psalms 8:5

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

  7. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
  8. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
  9. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
  10. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
  11. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
  12. Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
  13. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
  14. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  15. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
  16. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
