Psalms 62:1

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

  7. Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
  8. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
  9. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
  10. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
  11. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
  12. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
  13. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
  14. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
  15. I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.
  16. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
  17. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
  18. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
  19. And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
  20. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
  21. Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
  22. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
  23. Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
  24. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
  25. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
