Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

  3. So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

  5. They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
  6. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
  7. In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
  8. And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
  9. Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
  10. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
  11. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
  12. For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
  13. I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
  14. Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
  15. And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
  16. Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
  17. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
  18. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
