Psalms 38:10

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

  7. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
  8. Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
  9. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
  10. My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
  11. Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
  12. The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.
