Psalms 35:25

Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

  7. Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
  8. Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
  9. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
  10. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
  11. They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
  12. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
  13. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
  14. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
  15. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
