Psalms 29:10

The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

  1. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

  6. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
  7. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.
  8. Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
  9. The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
  10. The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
  11. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
  12. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
  13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
  14. And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
  15. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
