Psalms 23:5

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

  8. Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
  9. Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
  10. And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
  11. I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
  12. And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
  13. That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
  14. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
  15. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
  16. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
  17. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
  18. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
  19. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
  20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
  21. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
  22. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
