Psalms 145:8

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

  9. Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
  10. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
  11. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
  12. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
  13. Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
  14. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
