How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

  1. But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
  2. And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
  3. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
  4. The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
  5. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
  6. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
  7. I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
  8. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
  9. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
  10. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
  11. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
  12. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
