Psalms 130:7

Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

  8. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
  9. O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
  10. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
  11. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
  12. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
  13. I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
  14. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
  15. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
  16. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
  17. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
