Psalms 11:1

In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

  7. And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
  8. And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
  9. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
  10. O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
  11. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
  12. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
  13. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
  14. But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
  15. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
  16. Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
  17. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
  18. The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
