Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

  8. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
  9. He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old. He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
  10. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
  11. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
  12. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  13. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
