Psalms 102:4

My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

  8. So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
  9. Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
  10. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
  11. My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
  12. Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
  13. I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.
  14. For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
  15. My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
  16. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
  17. He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
  18. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
  19. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
  20. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
