Psalms 1:2

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

  13. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
  14. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
  15. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
  16. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
  17. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
  18. O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
  19. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
  20. I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
  21. And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
  22. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
