Proverbs 6:23

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

  11. The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
  12. The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
  13. To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
  14. And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
  15. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
  16. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
