Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

  8. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
  9. O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
  10. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
  11. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
  12. Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
  13. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
  14. That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
  15. O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
  16. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
  17. Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
  18. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
  19. Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
  20. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
  21. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
