Philippians 4:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

  1. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  2. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
  3. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
  4. And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
  5. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
  6. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
  7. Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
  8. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
  9. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
  10. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
  11. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
  12. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
  13. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
  14. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
  15. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
  16. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
  17. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
  18. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
  19. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
  20. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
  21. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

  25. And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
  26. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
  27. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
  28. Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
  29. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
  30. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
  31. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
  32. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
  33. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
  34. Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands; And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape. And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands. Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children. And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
  35. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
  36. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
  37. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
  38. Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
  39. And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
