Philippians 1:23

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

  3. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

  5. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
  6. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
  7. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
  8. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
  9. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
  10. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
  11. Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
  12. Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
  13. But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
  14. Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
  15. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
  16. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
  17. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
  18. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
  19. For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
  20. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
  21. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
  22. And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
  23. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
