Nehemiah 8:13

And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

  6. And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
  7. And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
  8. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
  9. And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
  10. And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
  11. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
