Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

  12. But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
  13. The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
  14. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
  15. The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
  16. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.
  17. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
  18. Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
  19. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
  20. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
  21. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
  22. In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
  23. To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
  24. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
  25. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
  26. But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
  27. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
  28. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
