And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

  8. Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
  9. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
  10. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
  11. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
  12. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
  13. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
  14. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
  15. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
  16. For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
  17. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
  18. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
  19. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
  20. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
  21. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
  22. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
  23. And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
  24. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
  25. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
  26. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
