Mark 9:29

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

  6. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
  7. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
  8. And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
  9. But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
  10. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
  11. In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
  12. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
  13. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
  14. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
