Luke 5:17

And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

  9. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
  10. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
  11. But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
  12. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
  13. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
  14. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
  15. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
  16. By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
