Luke 21:36

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
  13. But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
  14. A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
  15. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
  16. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
  17. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
  18. Pray without ceasing.
  19. Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
  20. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
  21. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
  22. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
  23. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
