Luke 20:46

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

  8. In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
  9. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
  10. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
  11. Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
  12. I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
