Luke 20:23

But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

  9. And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
  10. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
  11. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
  12. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
