Luke 16:25

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

  12. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
  13. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
  14. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
  15. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
  16. Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
  17. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
