Judges 5:2

Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

  6. And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
  7. It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
  8. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
  9. O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
  10. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.
  11. For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
  12. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
  13. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
  14. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
  15. But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
  16. And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
  17. Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
  18. For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
