And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:

  9. I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
  10. Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?
  11. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
  12. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
  13. All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
  14. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
  15. And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
  16. And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,
  17. His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
  18. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
  19. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
