Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

  10. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
  11. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
  12. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
  13. Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
  14. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
  15. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
  16. But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
  17. Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
