When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

  4. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
  5. And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
  6. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
  7. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
  8. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
  9. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
  10. My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
  11. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
  12. And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
