John 17:25

O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

  10. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
  11. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
  12. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
  13. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
  14. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
  15. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
  16. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
  17. Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
  18. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
  19. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
  20. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
  21. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
  22. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
  23. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
  24. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
  25. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
  26. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
  27. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
  28. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
  29. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
  30. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
  31. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
  32. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
  33. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  34. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
  35. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
