Job 8:13

So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

  9. Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
  10. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
  11. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
  12. For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul? Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
  13. But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
  14. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
  15. Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
  16. The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
  17. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
  18. And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
  19. And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
  20. And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  21. In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
