Job 36:20

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

  8. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
  9. If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness. I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.
  10. The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
  11. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
  12. In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
  13. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
  14. That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
  15. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
