Job 30:1

But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.

  6. They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
  7. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
  8. And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
  9. And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
  10. Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:
  11. And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:
  12. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
  13. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
  14. But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
  15. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
