Job 24:19

Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.

  6. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
  7. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
  8. The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
  9. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
  10. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
