Job 22:10

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

  1. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
  2. For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
  3. Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
  4. Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
  5. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
  6. When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
  7. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
  8. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
